Wendi Yan primarily works as a new media artist, utilizing 3D software, game engines and video to create interactive experiences. With backgrounds in history of science, architecture and sculpture, Wendi constructs speculative worlds for the audience to explore and respond freely. Wendi is particularly inspired by the boundaries of ego, (de)construction of identities, and utopian visions and efforts in transcendence. Wendi also makes documentaries about people in liminal cultural spaces.

Wendi Yan (b.1999) currently studies at Princeton University where she majors in History of Science and minors in Film.

Wendi loves exploring all the possible spaces that welcome her technical and academic backgrounds, and deeply appreciates collaborating other artists and scientists. She is proud to have worked on the web book for the Qualia Research Institute on consciousness research, for which she did UI design, logo design, and illustrations.

颜文笛是一个新媒体艺术工作者。她运用三维软件、游戏引擎和视频，创造交互体验。通过她的科学史、建筑和雕塑背景，颜文笛构建推测性世界，让观众自由探索与感受。她的作品主要探索自我的边界、身份的搭建与消解，以及人对自我超越的乌托邦式幻想与尝试。颜文笛也涉猎拍摄纪录片，探索文化身份模糊的年轻群体。

1999年生于北京，现就读于普林斯顿大学，攻读科学史专业本科学位，辅修视觉艺术证书。

颜文笛对探索一切需要她的艺术和学术背景的领域都感兴趣尝试，并且非常热衷与其他艺术家和科学家合作。她最近最骄傲的一个合作是 Qualia Research Institute 关于意识研究的网页书——她负责这个项目的全部UI设计、logo设计和插画。
