Hello! I am really, really interested in making games. In particular, I want to design fun, interactive experiences that help people feel connected with something larger than themselves.

While I have not worked on any game project yet, my academic and artistic trajectories have naturally pointed me towards game design in various aspects.

So I created this special page that hopefully shows where I come from for game design.

ACADEMICS

EDUCATION
liberal arts education
--
I completed freshman year at Princeton University and am taking a gap year to explore game design and search for awe.

I’m hoping to do an independent major in embodiment and world-building, which would combine art, architecture, religion, and cognitive science.

RESEARCH *
analytical thinking
--
I’ve uploaded some of my papers on art, architecture, and culture.

This summer, I researched on the topography of awe-inspiring spatial design, under the guidance of David B. Yaden from the UPenn Positive Psychology Center. I read from aesthetics, cognitive neuroscience, positive psychology, and architecture to develop this research. My research paper was selected to be published in the forthcoming Conscious Cities Anthology 2019, and will undergo peer review for Journal of Science-Informed Design.

PROGRAMMING

I’ve taken two terms of Java (finished a course on data structures and algorithm), and one semester of data science with R.

For three years in a row, I have been designing, writing, and organizing puzzle hunts at Princeton University and Phillips Exeter Academy.

Through puzzle hunt, I’ve learned a lot about designing fun, interactive experiences, as well as teamworking with people from diverse academic backgrounds.

Visual puzzles I’ve written:

PERSONAL

JOURNEYS
curiosity
creativity

I am an explorer of novel and inspiring experiences. I believe a breadth in knowledge and experience, and the curiosity beneath that, is crucial for any type of creator.

Hence, here are some of my favorite journeys

And, here’s a creative writing project I’m pretty proud of. It is an essay about “drifting,” with sections to be read in any order.
