At the heart of Wendi’s inquiries is a confusion with “the self:” where do we draw boundaries, culturally, biologically, philosophically, historically, between “me” and “others”? How does our sensorium partake in and interfere with this epistemological project? How does our interaction with space and time----in cartesian, hyperbolic, psychological, philosophical and other manners----shape our (de)construction of the self, and thereby our relationships with nature and technology?
As an artist and technologist, Wendi uses 3d software, game engine, glass and film to conduct philosophical experiments of alternative ontologies and historicities.
Wendi holds a Bachelor’s degree in History of Science from Princeton University. She is a Master of Science candidate in Fiction and Entertainment at SCI-Arc.
